In the early days, aSa rented computing time from larger companies that had their own in-house hardware. That’s how it all began for aSa, which, from the very beginning, knew how to adapt and grow alongside cutting-edge technologies.

“We were able to use these tools, rather than develop our own, to model the reinforcing steel and concrete,” shared Scott Leib, aSa President/CEO. This decision allowed aSa to perform more accurate calculations and visualize construction components in more detail.
Additionally, aSa used Bentley’s SDK to integrate features that would have been complex to develop from scratch. The SDK provided integration that allowed aSa to create solutions that not only meet their clients’ needs but also bring a level of customization and precision that sets the company apart in the market.

“Instead of developing an application on top of MicroStation, we were using the same tools that Bentley was using. That made all the difference,” explained Scott. The integration was essential in creating a smooth and unified user experience, which helped aSa stand out in the market.
