Closing the finance gap, pursuing robust adaptation strategies, and fostering innovative and inclusive solutions to inspire comprehensive climate action.
Simply put, COP29 can set the precedent for comprehensive climate action.
Infrastructure is at the heart of our communities, powering cities, connecting people, ensuring clean water supply, and supporting economies—it shapes the future of our world. By designing, building, and operating resilient, sustainable, and inclusive systems today, we can lay the framework for efficient and effective climate action.
That’s why Bentley will be present at COP29: we believe in the transformative power of digital twins and AI to drive impactful climate finance and global collaboration on sustainable infrastructure.
Bentley will join with governments, businesses, and civil society at COP29 to discuss and address critical infrastructure-related climate issues, such as:
Digital solutions can enhance the impact of sustainable investments. Digital twins, together with IoT, AI, and other modeling capabilities, offer powerful ways to quantify, measure, and act on climate change—enhancing infrastructure efficiency, resilience, and lifecycle management.
Infrastructure projects involve complex supply chains with various organizations, teams, stakeholders, and data formats. Once built, these assets can last for decades, leading to siloed data and dependance on specific vendors. While collaboration is key to addressing climate change, infrastructure professionals face significant barriers in driving and accelerating digital transformation.
Effective collaboration is essential. An open data ecosystem enables flexibility, integration, and interoperability, allowing diverse parties to work together to tackle the global challenge of climate change. By fostering innovation and enabling seamless data integration, open data ecosystems maximize the potential of digital twins to amplify our collective impact.
