Transformar la construcción: Evercam y su asociación con Bentley
The construction sector has always been at the forefront of innovation, but it is only in recent years that emerging technologies have begun to transform project management in a profound way. The partnership between Evercam and Bentley began as a strategic alignment between two companies with a shared goal: to improve the management of large construction projects. According to Evercam’s CEO Marco Herbst, the decision to work with Bentley was significant and proved essential to the success of their project.
“We knew we were working on something that would evolve over time, and Bentley played a key part in that process, offering development time and quick responses to unexpected challenges,” he said. This ongoing support was crucial, enabling Evercam to integrate their platform with Bentley’s robust infrastructure, particularly within funding from iTwin Ventures.
Evercam’s platform does not just offer traditional camera footage. It combines images of the construction progress with data from 4D digital models (BIM), allowing project managers to track the evolution of their projects dynamically and in real-time. The system offers features that include live view, recordings, time-lapse, and comprehensive project management tools, giving clients a more effective way to monitor every phase of their developments.
What makes this solution even more powerful is its ability to support various types of devices and cameras, such as fixed-position cameras, drones, 360-degree cameras, and even mobile phones. This support provides comprehensive visual coverages for all aspects of a construction project, offering rich, detailed data from multiple perspectives.
Evercam has become an indispensable solution in large infrastructure projects, especially in transportation, airports, healthcare, highways, and railways—sectors where Bentley is especially strong. Their platform not only contributes to better time and resource management, but also ensures greater safety and compliance across projects, essential factors for the successful execution of large-scale works.
“We are in a very good position now, covering all the major bases of photographic records from construction sites. This allows us to ensure that every stage of a project is being effectively monitored,” explained Marco.
One of the biggest highlights of this partnership has been the close collaboration between the development teams at Evercam and Bentley. According to Evercam, from the beginning, they felt like an integral partner in Bentley’s network, with easy access to the right teams within the company and an always open and responsive attitude.
“Our development team and customer service team had access to the right people at Bentley. The relationship was always very open and effective, allowing us to present a unified, high-quality solution to our customers,” said Marco.
This alignment between the two companies has been crucial to Evercam’s success, allowing the solution to be constantly improve and adapted to customer needs. The fluid communication and collaborative approach have ensured that the integration between Evercam’s platform and Bentley’s solutions was not only technical, but also strategic.
Last, but certainly not least, the combination of Cesium, makers of 3D geospatial technology, and iTwin has been a key milestone for Evercam, particularly when it comes to visualizing and processing large volumes of data. Cesium, Bentley’s latest acquisition, is recognized as the foundational open platform for creating powerful 3D geospatial applications, and its 3D Tiles open standard has been widely adopted by leading enterprises, governments, and tens of thousands of application developers globally. Bentley’s iTwin Platform powers digital twin solutions that are used by engineering and construction firms, as well as owner-operators,to design, build, and operate the world’s infrastructure. Together, these technologies offer a robust solution for handling complex models and real-time geospatial data, a direct benefit for large infrastructure projects like those Evercam is involved in at airports and for other sectors. This collaboration further strengthens Evercam’s position in innovation and efficient project management in construction. “This is very exciting for us, Cesium has also been great for this kind of performance,” said Marco.
The Bentley Partner Excellence Award in 2024 is not just an achievement, but also confirmation that their innovative and collaborative approach is making a difference in the construction sector
As technology continues to evolve, Evercam is well-positioned to continue leading the way, with Bentley’s strategic support—toward a future of smarter, more efficient, and visually integrated construction.
